About Us
The large, purpose-built campus at LGS Paragon sprawling over eight acres of land is one of the largest school campuses in the city. The campus, which opened in Fall 2009 has been built to provide a nurturing, conducive environment for all its students. LGS Paragon currently has an enrollment of 2200 students and offers comprehensive co-educational facilities from Playgroup to A levels through Junior, Middle and Senior school sections.
The Paragon campus is fully- equipped with a well-stocked library, an auditorium for theatre and the performing arts and state-of-the-art laboratories for science students. An art room, as well as a dedicated music and media room add to the facilities available.
In terms of sports: the Senior School Campus alone has two dedicated football fields, two basketball courts, a cricket pitch and nets, separate badminton courts as well as a tennis court and heated swimming pool. A fully equipped gym as well as a game room are being added this year.
Club & Societies
The LGS Paragon approach to academic and personality development focuses on the promotion of scholarly activities strengthened by skill and talent development in various fields. This is effected through participation in activities promoted by Clubs and Societies so that students are given a complete educational experience.
The Paragon Debating Society
The Paragon Debating Society is the school’s premier society. It has the distinction of winning the Under-17 National Championship and is the most active society on campus, participating, and being placed in several competitions every month. The Society was selected by the Debating Society of Pakistan to host the Under-19 National Championships this year .
The Dramatics Society
Dramaybaaz is LGS Paragon's Dramatics Society and has a history of excellence in performance behind it. Dramaybaaz has brought home many accolades for LGS Paragon over the years. The upcoming year will see many exciting projects coming to fruition.
The English Literary Society
Incompris is a society wholly devoted to its purpose, which is to spread the joy of and promote respect for the English language, and encourage students to read, write and communicate with clarity. The Society is responsible for the publication of the annual journal, entitled 'Origami', each year and does so in collaboration with Aperture (Paragon’s Media Society). This year, especially, the Society aims to raise the bar by initiating an inter-LGS Blog, The Grammar Network, as well as an inter-Grammar Literary Journal.
The Music Society
Another premier society, Crescendo, has been very active ever since its inception. The Society is responsible for encouraging and mentoring younger students to help them achieve their musical aspirations. Besides forming the school band and representing the school in competitions across the city, Crescendo is also responsible for organising the annual Gig Night that brings together Grammarians from across various campuses together in celebration of music each year. This year the Society hosted a tribute to the legendary singer, Farida Khanam.
The Science Society
The Science Society is one of the most ambitious societies in the school. It has been hosting a 3-day Olympiad called Para Karation for the last two years.
The Sports Society
The Sports Society offers diversity and range of athletics to the student body. Swimming, football, basketball, badminton, cricket and table tennis are just a few of the sports activities that students can participate in. 2014 also saw the biggest 3-day sports event being instituted, Paranight Olympics, which will now be an annual fixture on the school calendar.
